Why should I apply fabric protection shield to my fabric furnishings?
Regular fabric cleaning and the application of fabric protection shield are crucial to the health of those using the fabric furniture. Smog, nicotine, pet dander, soil and dust mite are just a few of the environmental pollutants that get trapped on a regular basis. The application of fabric protection shield provides a barrier to help protect your furnishings against spills, letting you enjoy your living or working spaces as they were intended.
Easy Cleaning System
Fabric protection helps increase surface tension on fabric furnishings. This means that any liquid spilt on fibres can’t easily penetrate the surface. After proper application, fabric protection gives a coating mechanism to fabric furniture, preventing immediate absorption of any spills. Absorbent materials such as cotton or linen will have a stronger defence against spills, but more importantly, will make regular cleaning easier too.
Fibres Stay Good as New
With the application of fabric protection shield, cleaning becomes easier and faster, and with fabric furnishings being protected against spills, the quality of the fabric remains intact. When you combine fabric protection with regular general fabric cleaning, it results in less dirt, dust and general pollutants penetrating through the furniture fibres, keeping them cleaner and looking better.
Guard Your Health
Allergens, mites, pollutants, and other common germs can exist in fabric furniture for long periods of time. Without proper fabric protection application and fabric cleaning, germ-ridden furniture can be hazardous to the health of those using it. Hidden bacteria and germs tucked away inside the fibres of fabric furniture that aren’t regularly cleaned or protected, isn’t desirable in any setting.
Eco-Friendly Alternative
Another great benefit of fabric protection application it’s that it is comparatively far more eco-friendly than the application of stain removal chemicals. As the adage goes – prevention is better than cure! Moreover, fabric protection products are great at keeping mites and allergens out, without harming the humans interacting with the furnishings.
Keep in mind that fabric protection doesn’t make your fabric furnishing completely bullet-proof. Whilst it may not completely block every spill from affecting your fabric furniture, it will definitely lessen the potential stains and will give you more time to clean up spills without leaving stains behind.
