Will the product change the look of my timber surface?

No.  Both the cleaning and protective products are water based and are safe to use on all indoor timbers, including white wash finished.  We do recommend testing in a hidden area to ensure there are no adverse effects before using.

Do the products need mixing or diluting?

No. The products are ready to use out of the box.  The Timber Cleaner/Conditioner comes in a pump spray bottle and can be sprayed directly onto the timber surface then wiped off.  The Timber Protective Cream comes in a flip top bottle and can be wiped directly over the timber surface with a damp cloth.

How to I apply the Protective Cream?

Using a damp lint free cloth (we recommend our reusable microfibre cloths) squeeze a liberal amount of protective cream onto the cloth and dab it into the cloths surface.  Then wipe evenly across the timber surface wiping the protective cream into the timber.  Avoid allowing the protective cream to build up in any joints or creases in the timber surface.

How often should I use the products?

We recommend cleaning, then protecting timber furniture every 2-3 months.  For furniture in direct sunlight for prolonged hours each day, use the protective cream monthly to help reduce UV damage.

The Care Cover Indoor Timber Furniture Care Kit is a simple two-step system to help rejuvenate and enhance the natural finish of your indoor timber furniture, protecting it from discolouring, drying, ageing and staining.  The products effectively remove grime and build up from timber furniture, while nourishing and enhancing its natural finish.

The products aid in UV protection and assist in water proofing indoor timber furniture such as tables, buffets, benchtops, chairs, bed frames, cabinets and trims. The products are formulated for use on a wide range of indoor timbers, including most hardwoods such as elm, mango wood, rubber wood and softwoods such as treated pine.

The Care Cover indoor timber care products will not affect the look, feel or condition of timber and are designed to leave no surface residue. Unlike other timber care products that use solvent-based ingredients which can potentially damage a timber’s surface, Care Cover products contain natural oils that provide effective protection.
